You are invited to join us today, Giving Tuesday, for a cause that echoes the values of community, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. We have a fundraising goal of $3,000. Will you help us reach this goal?

Our land restoration project will commence in 2024, where a once conventionally farmed 90-acre cornfield will be transitioned into an organic farm. On this farm, we will also work to restore 3 acres of native ecosystems including a wetland (1.5 acres) and a prairie (1.5 acres).

This endeavor comes with a price tag of about $6000, and while we're diligently pursuing cost-share opportunities, we're reaching out to our community to help us raise the remaining $3000.

We welcome any donation amount. In addition, we have a few ways to thank you for the following amounts:

• $50 - Receive a pair of Eco.Logic branded socks that are made using upcycled textiles

• $100 - Receive the pair of socks and get entered into a raffle for a chance to win a Patagonia backpack

• $250 - Receive a pair of socks and two entries into the raffle

• $2000 - All of the above, plus you will be named an Eco.Logic Land Steward

Why this project?

Transitioning from conventional to organic reduces the amount of fossil-fuel based chemical inputs, prevents soil erosion, and limits toxic run-off. Our wetland and prairie areas will also sequester carbon, provide habitat to local pollinators and wildlife, alleviate air and water pollution, and create a community space for learning, restoring, and healing.

Last year, you helped us raise more than $3,000 for our site assessment so we could move forward with our project. Thank you to all of those who made generous contributions already!

In the spirit of Giving Tuesday and our commitment to ecological principles, we cannot turn a blind eye to the environmental injustices and humanitarian crises taking place in other parts of the world, namely Gaza, Congo, and Sudan. There are undoubtedly political, racial, economic, health dimensions present in all of these crises. At the nexus of these intersectional issues are environmental concerns. We’ll drop some links for you to check out and encourage you to make donations to organizations working on alleviating these horrors.
